The challenge

UW Immigration needed a clearer website and consultation process without a disruptive, blind rebuild of its existing WordPress and Elementor setup.

The work covered service organization, consistent consultation language, enquiry-form behaviour, contact details and technical checks. Because the site describes a regulated service, accurate wording and careful handling of visitor information mattered alongside the design.

What changed

Clearer service pathways

The project introduced eight focused service pathways, including study permits, work permits, family sponsorship and permanent-residence services. The homepage and service pages gave visitors a more direct route to the relevant consultation request.

A review-first consultation request

The consultation flow explained that the practice confirms fit, availability, scope and professional fees. Service links could preselect the relevant enquiry type, reducing the need to repeat information.

More careful enquiry handling

The intake included privacy consent and a warning not to send passport, banking or confidential documents. Form validation, notification routing and mail transport were investigated and retested as separate parts of the enquiry journey.

Search and website foundations

The work included page titles, descriptions, canonical links, service information, corrected contact details and repeated mobile and link checks. Changes to the legacy site were backed by controlled repair and recovery records.

The evidence

The August 12 corrective QA record reports 14 current sitemap pages checked with one H1 and a meta description per page, no horizontal overflow, and 23 tested visitor links returning successful responses.

These are dated implementation and testing checks, not a claim of increased rankings, enquiries or revenue.

What this means for another small business

A website review should follow the whole customer path: can the visitor understand the service, choose the next step, complete the form and reach the right person?

A page can display a success message even when an email notification has not reached the intended inbox. Treating those as separate checks is one of the practical lessons from this project.

This case covers a broader website recovery project. It does not represent everything included in a single month of Luminary's CAD $250 Local Growth Plan. Complex recovery and major rebuilds are assessed separately.
